Wellness Wednesday

Whether you work in an office or work remotely, it’s easy to get caught up in everything-that-must-be-done and forget to take care of yourself.┬áSo on ‘ Wellness Wednesday,’ how about some suggestions for ways to bring a bit more wellness into your workday.

  1. Sneak in some extra steps. Rather than circling the parking lot or garage searching for the closest spot, park a bit farther and enjoy your stroll into the office.
  2. Take a mini-meditation break. No, not ‘woo-woo’ (unless you’re into that!) but a mini break to take a few deep breaths and just be still. Try to breathe in for 4 or 5 counts and exhale for the same amount of time. Trust me, this one works!
  3. Pack your self a healthy lunch and snacks for the day. Not only will you save some dough but you’ll feel pretty darn good turning down any unhealthy snack sitting out in the break room.
  4. How about turning a meeting into walk? Grab that co-worker and head around the block as you chat…or a least do a couple laps around the conference table.
  5. Swap out coffee for some green tea. Listen, I know this one is hard but even replacing one cup of coffee can be a good thing. Baby steps, right?
